DC18SD Makita Charger suitable for charging both 12v and 18v slide fit lithium batteries, the memory chip in the battery communicates with the charger to maximise the charging cycle. As the batteries have no memory effect from top up charging the batteries are quickly and efficiently powered up for maximum work and extended working life. Other features of this DC18SD Charger passes fan cooled air across the air vents on the battery reducing any heat built up and protecting the lithium within the battery. DC18SD Makita Charger omits audible sounds to communicate the status of the charge cycle and when the battery has reached full charge

Makita Power Tools, Batteries and Chargers purchased from Power Tools UK are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from the original date of invoice. Makita customers can extend this initial Power Tools UK warranty period out to 36 months by registering machines, batteries or chargers directly with Makita at makitauk.com/3-year-warranty within 30 days of purchase. Should any Makita machine fail during the extended free of charge warranty period, the returns process could not be simpler with faulty tools returned directly to Makita for inspection, repair or replacement as appropriate

The easiest and quickest way to arrange Makita Warranty is to contact their dedicated warranty team on 0800 345 7942 they will assist and help to arrange the return from you at the earliest opportunity. Please note that you will be asked for certain information including date of purchase and original invoice number before the warranty claim can be processed

Makita at an agreed time and date will uplift the machine from any business or residential address, (it does not need to be the original invoice address shown on your paperwork) Makita WILL NOT COLLECT from building sites

Please carefully package the machine ready for transit clearly marking the RMA reference on the package in advance of the agreed time and date of uplift

Makita’s commitment to their product range means that they will always endeavour to keep a complete stock of all spares for current and older products within their range. Under normal conditions Makita UK will inspect, report, repair, replace and return within 7 working days

Repairs are required because of normal wear or tear

The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
